ALBUMS

    2019
    Ørken Salt "Penteia (L)",

  •   "Pentia (L)" is the recording of practicing "Penteia (P1)" which we released to provide a different version of the track.

    2019
    Ørken Salt "Penteia (P1)",

  •   "Penteia (P1)" Was a live performance recording from one of the "NoiseDroneRepeat" events we played, each of us using new performance setups. The compositional basis for the piece was centered around the five elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Void) and the pace and progress of the track follows accordingly.

    2019
    Ørken Salt "Which is Bitterest",

  •   "Which is Bitterest" is a live improvisation performance album done in one take. It was a test of a new composition and live performance structure centered around cues and time reference, meaning anything outside of the two constraints was improvised on our individual setups.

    2018
    Ørken Salt "Polytropoi",

  •   "Polytropoi" Was the first live recording of Ørken Salt for a university assessment and the first time we had used our DIY instruments and controllers.

HARDWARE PROJECTS

    2019
    "Machine Ensemble"

"Machine Ensemble" is an autonomous MIDI controlled electro-acoustic system, designed to explore both the creative potential of machine based musical composition and performance, and the audience’s perception of the role of performer. I became interested in this concept of "anti-social" performance as I started to move from just playing an acoustic instrument, to using a laptop to create music. The details and progress of this project can be seen in the "Projects" tab and on my instagram.

    2019
    "Many Knobs" Controller

This project was a continuation of the "Lots of Things" controller i had built previously. The controller was downsized considerably to 20 rotary encoders as my performance setup now consisted of a cassette player so in the interest of space I economized my gear and DAW controls. The controller made for a less tactile but ultimately less confusing performance experience.

    2018
    "Lots of Things" Controller

This controller was designed for the purpose of live performance and mixing with the band Ørken Salt. The controller consisted of 20 faders, 16 rotary encoders and 8 buttons. The thought process being that I would isolate different sections of the controller for different purposes while keeping it compact and light weight.
